UIN Online - Rector of UIN Alauddin Makassar, Prof. Dr. H. A Qadir Gassing HT, MS., stated that he dreamed of a project that created 250 professional Islamic scholars who can strengthen the institutional UIN Alauddin. It was delivered when he talked in Departing-Welcoming the Canadian Team Leader (CTL) in his office on Monday March 10, 2014.

The event hosted by the Head of PIU, Prof. Hamdan, introduced Lina Kalfayan as replacement for Ghislaine Larouche who had completed her working period at UIN Alauddin. Lina as the new CTL of SILE introduced herself that she is originally a Canadian of Lebanese descent who spent her childhood and studied in Lebanon and certainly He is fluent in Arabic and English. She admitted that she was very pleased to meet with the officials of UIN Alauddin. She also described her experience in traveling aroung Indonesia such as Aceh, Yogyakarta, Jakarta, and now, Makassar.

This departing-welcoming event was attended by the vice rectors, the deans, the heads of bureaus, the heads of centers and institutes within the scope of UIN Alauddin Makassar.
