UIN Online - Student Executive Board (BEM) of Dakwah and Communication Faculty (FDK) of State Islamic University (UIN) of Alauddin Makassar held a book review. The book entitled City War (Perang Kota), Study of Local Politics and Doll Elite Contestation was held in FDK LT. Samata, Saturday, April 5, 2014.

This activity presented three speakers, they were, Rahmat M. Arsyad (the Author), Arif Wicaksono, MA., (the Lecturer of Political Science Methods of UIN Alauddin Makassar), and Ibnu Hajar, S.Sos.I., M.Si., (the Lecturer of Political Communication of UIN Alauddin Makassar).

The book "City War and Doll Elite Contestation" presented the document of the key events behind the Makassar Mayor Election 2013 which was phenomenal. This work was a narrative form of research undertaken by the Indonesian Development Engineering Consultant (INDEC) during conducting the Makassar mayor election process.

There were 10 couples in the mayoral election. Like a war, the selection of Makassar mayor also raised three elite battles to be the key determinant in the various political events in Makassar battlefield.
